About the Art Club
Elko County Art Club’s passion is in our name, ART. Art is diverse, with many unique forms of expression falling within the definition. We love all the discrete forms of art and hope that the feeling comes across to Artists and the community.
Over 40 years ago, a group of local artists and friends founded ECAC with the basic intent of creating connections between local artists.
Interest continued to grow through the years, artist demonstrations and exhibitions were organized, community art scholarships were added, and in 1978, the first annual Art in the Park, an artist vendor event, took place at the Elko Main City Park.
Always wanting to grow, to support artists and bring artistic endeavors to the community; ECAC went a new direction and the 501(c)(3) was established and the Gallery opened.
Mission
To create and sponsor activities and programs that empower artists and cultivate an appreciation for the arts within our community.

Vision
We envision a future where Elko County Art Club is a community art center dedicated to fostering, promoting, and sponsoring activities that cultivate a deeper understanding and respect for artists and artistic expression in the community.
We envisage a haven for artists to explore avenues for nurturing their creative and business skills, furthering meaningful social and business connections, and providing avenues for showcasing their artwork. Ultimately, this platform aims to catalyze positive transformations in artists’ lives by promoting self-respect, self-reliance, and self-sufficiency.
We endeavor to be a vibrant community education hub that caters to the curious and creative, seeking to improve their current gifts, explore options, or broaden their perspectives. A hub of discovery, offering a range of classes, workshops and events designed to foster personal growth and provide avenues for skill sharing and knowledge exchange. A hub that facilitates social connections, enhancing individual self-worth and strengthening the community as a whole.
Core Values
Sympathetic awareness and tolerance of individual uniqueness.
Compassion and respect for cultural diversity in persons and the community.
Authentic desire to enfold and encourage genuineness in person and creative endeavors, with the absence of judgment.
