This scholarship is granted to a student graduating from an Elko County School District High School and is planning to continue their education. The scholarship is in the amount of $1,000.00, which can be used toward tuition, books and supplies directly associated with art classes.

Instructions

Applicants are required to:
  1. Submit this completed and signed application in person or online by   March 8, 2024 including:
  • Applicant information
  • Applicant/Parent/Guardian/Teacher Contact information
  • Written recommendation from a teacher
  • Paperwork can be submitted in one of the following ways:
  • completed and delivered in-person to ECAC at 407 Railroad Street, Elko, NV
  • completed and emailed to hello@elkocountyarts.org [subject line – 2024 Scholarship] or
  • online at the link below.

  1. Submit their art appropriately mounted or secured on Wednesday, March 27 at the Elko County Art Club Gallery, 407 Railroad Street, Elko, NV between 10 am-6 pm. (A representative for the applicant can submit their artwork.

  1. Pickup their artwork following the exhibition at the Elko County Art Club Gallery, 407 Railroad Street, Elko, NV between 10 am-6 pm on May 14, if you need to pick up at a different time call us. (If ECAC is notified in advance a representative for the applicant can retrieve their artwork.)

Important Information 

  1. The Exhibition will be at the Elko County School District Art Show at the Northeastern Nevada Museum, 1515 Idaho Street Elko, April 7th thru May 5th, 2024.
  2. The winner will be announced on April 7, the opening day of the Elko County School District Art Show at the Northeastern Nevada Museum.
  3. Students are strongly advised to attend and parents/guardians, friends and teachers are invited to attend the reception.
  4. Each Applicant will receive and ECAC membership for a year.
  5. Schools can include university, college, technical school or other continuing education.
  6. A check will be sent to the school on behalf of the student, to be used for tuition, books and supplies, once the student provides the information requested above.
The Scholarship Recipient is required to:
  • Enroll in at least one (1) art class at the selected school.
  • Provide EC Art Club’s Treasurer with the selected school’s student scholarship department contact information, and
  • A copy of the students upcoming class schedule.
