Acrylic | Chalk | Sidewalk Chalk Artist | Muralist

Alyssa Cumpton grew up in Sparks, Nevada but has spent most of her adult life in Idaho where she received bachelor’s degrees in both Criminal Justice and Fine Arts from Boise State University before moving to Elko. She works in many mediums including acrylic, pen, pencil and colored pencil. She also installs large scale murals and works as a traveling sidewalk chalk artist at fairs and festivals across the country.

Her work deals with many subjects, including animals, people and the fantastic. She draws inspiration from her desert adventures as a rock hound, avid hiker and lover of all things outdoors. She explores the fantastic and the surreal in her work, with horses being one of her favorite subjects. Alyssa currently works as Parks Director for Spring Creek Association but hopes to one day practice as a full time mural artist.
